Self-Pay – What you need to know

The admin team at Foot-Doctor understand that this may be an anxious time for you.  They are adept at removing the stress for you that can exist when trying to organise things by yourself. 

There are a few administrative things your should be aware of.

Each time you attend a clinic or hospital, the receptionist will ask you to re-check your contact and payment details.  This is to ensure that the facility is aware of any changes since you first registered.

You will need to provide your credit/debit card details at the time of booking your appointments.

Consultation fees and outpatient treatment fees will be provided to you before you are seen. 

Payment for Consultations will be invoiced to you after you have been seen.  These do require to be settled within 7 days.

Investigations and Outpatient Procedures require to be paid for in advance or on the day to the hospital or clinic facility.  If you have taken one of our FootSteps or FootPrints Packages, these may be included in the price.

For day case or in-patient surgery the Consultant fee will be required to be settled three days before the day of surgery.

The hospital usually also requires payment before the date of surgery.  Depending on the location, the hospital may invoice you separately.  Again depending on the hospital this may not include the Anaesthetist fee, which you will be invoiced for separately.

A quote for Self-Pay fees for Surgery will be provided for you.

Please note quotes for surgery are only valid for 3 months from the date of issue.  You should confirm the cost if you book your date for surgery after three months as fees are subject to changeb/
