“Run to the dreams of your childhood”

New Year, Resolutions and Hope for the Future
This year many people have had time to reflect on what is most important to them. 80% give up on their New Year’s resolutions by Valentines Day.
Take care of your foundations and they will be your biggest supporters.
The most common New Year’s resolutions are
- 1. Start exercising and get fit
- 2. Lose weight
- 3. Sort my finances
- 4. Live life to the full
- 5. Travel more
New Fitness Regime
If you have not exercised for a while, your soft tissues will have become stiff and tight. It is important to stretch before and after exercising. Your Achilles tendon and plantar fascia are particularly at risk of becoming tight and sore.
Build up your exercise programme slowly and consistently to protect yourself from injury. Persistent, gradual increases are more likely to bring success.
Invest in a good pair of trainers, with a well-cushioned sole. You need to break them in over the course of a few weeks, to become really comfortable.
Healthy Eating and Weight Loss
Many people are aware that being over-weight can make pain symptoms in the hip and knee worse. The same holds true for problems with your feet and ankles. For most chronic conditions, such as plantar fasciitis, and even ankle arthritis, losing weight can help.
It much easier said than done though. Commit to making one small change in your diet for a week. One of the first places that you may notice that you have lost weight, is your feet when your shoes start to become looser.
Consider Health Insurance
Most people value their time but forget about their health. For many, last year gave the time we craved to re-evaluate what is really important.
Healthcare has fundamentally changed. The NHS has risen to the challenge of managing a pandemic, but the cost has been on scheduled care. Waiting times for operations such as gall-bladder removal, hip replacement and bunion corrections have risen exponentially.
There are a number of different types of health insurance policies and payment plans available, that make accessing private healthcare, affordable.
Don’t Wait
Whatever your dreams are, commit to making them a reality. Life is too short and precious. Whether you walk, skip, jump or run to your future, commit to making it your present. Even the longest journey begins with a single step.
Fun and Adventure
2021 brings with it hope and optimism for a brighter future. The arrival of a vaccine means that while the beginning of this year, restrictions to movement will continue. But the second half of 2021 may allow for more travel. The restrictions that will continue for the first six months of the year give time to concentrate on yourself and preparing for a time when travel is permitted again.
Until then…
